Chama River Raft Rentals
Native Sons Adventures, one of the oldest outfitters on the Rio Grande (since 1989), can rent you a fully rigged HYSIDE 14'3 brand new with a custom made aluminum frame from our buddies up in Salida, CO at Riverboat Works.
Guaranteed Chama River water flows of approximately 1,000 cfs on weekends until September 2010. Call Taos Field Office for permits and more information.

Rafting equals a great time in New Mexico. We are now renting rafting gear, including paddle rafts, rowing rafts fully rigged for multiday and expedtion raft trips. Please check out our raft rental program, and call to reserve. Rent our top of the line rafts for your next river trip.
We rent 14 foot, fully rigged Hyside oar-frame raft set ups for single and multiday expeditions, as well as paddle rafts. Our oar-frame rafts are great solutions. To rent an oar frame setup, experience is required. You must have whitewater experience rafting to be eligible for an expedition raft rental. Rafting equipment is very expensive, so it is important to be familiar with rafts and how to pack and row them properly. You should also have a knowledge of rivers, whitewater, and river rescue.
14'3" Hyside Expedition Package
Includes self-bailing raft, barrel pump, repair kit, aluminum frame and 3 oars, up to 4 PFDs, 2 paddles, 16 cam straps, 1 cooler, dry box, 3 dry bags, 1 bowline and 1 throw bag. Having a trailer is a great advantage to tow your raft. It allows you to pack the raft at home and drive straight to the river and launch with minimal rigging.

Run a river Pickup and Drop off
We offer a free pick-up & a free return day. For example, a rental that is picked up anytime on Friday & returned anytime on Monday would only be considered a two-day rental. For one-day rentals, you may pick up the raft between 4pm and 6pm the day before your trip. The raft must be returned by close of business the day of the trip. (if the raft is not reserved to another customer the following day, we can be flexible)
Upon Return
Please wash everything before you return it. We will not accept it back until it is cleaned. You may use the hose behind our shop. When you return, inflate the raft all the way and wash the boat if you haven't already. Once everything is ready, come inside and let the shop employee know that you are ready to check the raft in. He or she will check over the equipment for damage or missing items.
Excessive Damage
Fees for excessive wear and tear including holes, tears, large abrasions will be accessed based on repair materials, labor and depreciation of the equipment.
Damage and Security Deposit
A fully refundable damage/loss security deposit is required at the time of pick-up, & will be held with your personal check or credit card. Repair charges will be assessed for repairable damaged equipment. A contract/liability waiver must be signed by the renter at the time of pick-up.

Cancellations/Refund Policy
50% of the rental fee is non-refundable reservation fee. Within 7 days of the rental pickup, funds are committed and non-refundable. With 48 hours or more lead time, your rental may be rescheduled. We do not offer refunds due to weather or water conditions.
